Our Staff
Each and every member of our staff is carefully hand-selected.
We all share the same common dedication and goals of providing superior
products and services. Each employee is as important as the other, and
together, we make up a team of hard-working professionals whose sole purpose
it to satisfy our clients.
Veronica Esparza, President& CEO - Veronica has an amazing life story to tell.
She came to this country when she was only 16 years old when she arrived
to this country as a visitor, with no work skills and did not speak English.
Clearly, she had some challenges ahead!
BUT… Veronica had a dream. A VERY BIG DREAM. She worked
long hard hours in jobs ranging from cleaning homes, to hotel restaurants
and later, lab assistant technician. All the while, she had a dream
of becoming a caterer. She has always loved to cook and plan events.
Planning her own wedding only inspired her more. Six years ago her
dream came true, but not without more obstacles. She purchased a
small restaurant downtown San Antonio using a credit card. From
this humble start, Veronica put her vision to play.
The first event she ever catered was for 500 guests! Her second
year after being business, she was awarded the UTHSC cafeteria contract
at Texas Research Park, and with it came with a state of the art catering
equipment . She attributes a lot of her success to The University
for allowing her to market herself and her catering business, Absolutely
Delicious Catering. The University taught her three things.
The first was to be dependable, second consistency and third not to get
comfortable and overlook the little things. “The University
taught me to live on my toes,” says Esparza. Veronica’s
marketing technique is to retain clients by under promoting and over delivering
the best quality service and product.
As owner of Absolutely Delicious Catering, Veronica Esparza was honored
with Caterer of the Year Award from local chapter of NACE (National Association
of Catering Executives). This prestigious award confirms her wonderful
work ethic, and NACE continues to play a big role for her and her staff
to provide ongoing education.
Veronica gives her staff credit saying, “We are nothing without
our employees.” She takes care of the inside of the house
before the outside. There is little doubt why there is minimal turnover
at Absolutely Delicious Catering.
“You will never know where you are going, if you don’t know
where you have been”, says Veronica.
Talking with Veronica Esparza is an absolute delight. If I were
to describe Veronica Esparza in one word, it would be INSPIRATIONAL.
